What I have been up to...

Just sharing a few challenges I have been working on this week! I have learned that even though I am busier than ever right now, that it is still important to take time for myself and to what I love....

This first layout was for a 1 hour challenge on the CK Blog. The challenge was to make it in 1 hour and to include "bitty" things on your layout. I used bitty flowers on the tree, bitty bling on the flowers, and if you look closely, I used bitty button brads on some of the flowers on the background patterned paper.

Supplies: Paper: MLS "Home Tweet Home"

This card was for Warm Up #32 at ScrapFIT, to use buttons and or bows on your project. I used both to make this cute banner for my birthday card.

Supplies: Paper: AC, Stamp: Hero Arts, button brads, twine

This card was for Step Class #9 at ScrapFIT, to have paper piecing on your project. I paper pieced the cupcake, added fun stitching to the liner and bling on the top.

Supplies: Paper: Paper Studio, Stamp: Autumn Leaves, Punch: EK Success, washi tape

This card is for Workout #77 at ScrapFIT, to use flags on your project. I already had my paper out from the last card, so I made another one with hot pink glittered washi tape from AC. I can never have too many birthday cards and these little flags are so fun to make!
***Update*** I won this challenge! Check it out here.

Autumn leaves

My favorite season by far is Autumn. I love the changing leaves and the cooler weather. I would be a fool not to mention that I also love food associated with autumn like warm soup and pumpkin desserts, both of which I have made this week!

The layout I made today is from some pictures that my husband took last year of our beautiful Autumn Blaze Maple tree. For a few weeks in October it is the most beautiful red color. This particular year we had also gotten our first frost and the leaves were just stunning with the snowy edges.

I used a sketch from Page Maps. They have so many wonderful sketches to choose from and they update their sketch archives once a month. You can find them under the "archives" tab on the left hand side of their blog.

Supplies used: Patterned paper: Reminisce, Title cutout: Fancy Pants, Leaf stickers: Stickopotamus

Space invader

It has been a while since I have updated my blog. There has been a change in our family, and although it is a good change, I haven't had much free time like I used to. I do enjoy doing my friend Ashley's monthly sketches however over on the CK Blog, so I made sure to find time for that one night after the kids were in bed.

Here is her fun sketch:

And here is what I did with it:

I only used 1 photo instead of 2, and put the big circle embellishment on the top of the photos instead of underneath.  Loved the end result! Thanks Ashley for another fun sketch to work with!

Supplies used: Paper: FP "To the Moon", Small alpha stickers: CC, Die-cut letters: Quickutz
